Georgia's I would set myself on fire for you debut cd consists of six tracks of melodic, pretty screamy hardcore that definitely reminds the listener of old still life meets inkwell at points. I would set myself on fire for you has garnered numerous comparisons to Georgia's portrait, most notably because of the presence of a viola player as well. However unlike portrait I would set myself on fire for you provide the listener with still life/inkwell inspired melodies complete with two male vocalists and one female vocalist to compliment the mix. Also included on the cd are two excellent noise/athmospherical tracks. Packaged within a silkscreened cardboard sleeve. Please note there is a 2006 tour version that was packaged in a manilla envelope.
Recorded during the summer of 2002. Released August 2003.

Bought this and As the Roots Undo after a single listen each; I'm sure there are dozens if not hundreds more to come. This band is special, a unique, atmospheric blend of screamo, post-hardcore, post-rock, prog, grindcore, folk, and probably several other genres I haven't noticed into a seamless whole. The vocals, both male and female, both harsh and clean, deserve particular praise, as do the band's skills as musicians and songwriters. I can only hope Volume Two will come out someday. cassandraleo
